Attention Everyone
We are in the processes of making some changes to film scanning. For the 35mm Free option, we changed the name to Low resolution and will remain at 1.5 Megapixels. The new Medium is $4.00 extra and is 3.0 Megapixels. The new High Resolution is $8.00 and is 5.7 Megapixels.
We also reduced the price on the DSLR scanning and as of September 1st the turnaround time will be much faster. Other changes are coming soon. Between now and September 1st we are trying to get completely caught up on ECN-2, Seattle Film Works, Black and White and E6 Film.
What does this all mean for you? We are open and developing C-41 on a regular basis. However all other film types are being done at a lower priority than usual, this will allow us to catchup on film which has been here for a very long time, Some since 2024. We also hope to keep the website up to date as best we can. Check back for more updates. Also for our local customers. Our South Penn Lock drop off site is possibly no longer available. The store could be closing and will not be available as a drop off location. If your a local customer in the Media PA area, email us before attempting to drop off your film at South Penn.
News and Events at our lab:
Over the past few months we have had many ask if we develop Seattle Film Works film or C-22 or Kodachrome K14. The answer to all the above is YES! However there are very long turn around times (2 to 4 weeks) because we prioritize our fresh C-41, B&W and ECN-2 Developing. All other film types have a lower priority such as E6, C-22 and K14. Please CLICK HERE to get started.
About our Lab:
Our lab is OPEN, Our normal business hours are from 6pm to 10pm Mon-Thurs and 10am to 10pm Most Weekends. Both Andrew (owner) and Rachel (Manager) hold Full time Jobs from 7am to 5pm Monday-Friday in unrelated fields. Both of them love film and started this lab to make film photography as affordable as possible. Both of them believe in low cost high quality work. Quality is more important than speed to them so please be patient. This business is their way of helping the film community. However unlike a normal lab, their lab is operated in their free time. Life often gets in the way with unexpected events and sometimes they take a Saturday off and do some of their own film photography. So the turn around time is an estimate for a single roll or a few rolls. Larger orders or multiple film types in a single order will take a whole lot longer. Please keep this in mind when sending film. For those who have been sending them film for a while now, Thank You. For new customers, Welcome!! Andrew and Rachel love film and they want to help you love it too!! Please feel free to email them for questions. Andrew is on Instagram (@needfilmdeveloped.com) for chatting, he can’t give status updates, Please email them for updates on your order, THANK YOU!!
